The Cost of Oral Health
We understand that one of the biggest concerns from our patients when it comes to dental health care is cost. Often the question is brought up of, “Well, how much will this treatment cost me?” At Smiles we have a great system in place so our patients know and understand their treatment and payment options. If you were to call an auto repair shop to see how much it will cost to get your brakes fixed the answer is usually, “It depends.” It depends on what needs to be fixed. Your oral health is the same way. Until the doctor or hygienist has you sitting in the chair to see what is going on with an individual situation, estimating costs is almost impossible. After you have seen the doctor and had x-rays, we are ready to provide our patients with complete information on procedures and costs. Once you and the doctor agree on a treatment plan, only then do we begin treatment. Insurance can be a complicated beast, which is why at Smiles Dental, we have a team of Insurance Coordinators dedicated to working directly with insurance companies so our patients don’t have to. When a patient receives an estimate for their treatment plan, the plan outlines how much of the total cost is expected to be covered by insurance and how much will be out-of-pocket from the patient. We encourage our patients to ask questions about their treatment plans and costs so they can make the most informed decision about their oral health! With the start of a new year, many insurance benefits have renewed and are ready for use. Our team can help you understand what your benefits will cover when you call to schedule an appointment. It’s important to start using insurance benefits, especially for regular cleanings and exams, soon so you are not stuck with leftovers at the end of the year! Your benefits are there for you to use to ensure your health is taken care of. Check our website, or call our office, to see if we are an in-network provider with your insurance company. Taking care of your oral health with an in-network provider will help you maximize your benefits. Your dental health is important to us. For our patients that are self-paying, or not covered by insurance, we offer financing options through Wells Fargo. Our front desk team is able to help get your pre-approved so your oral health is taken care of! Again, once you have your treatment plan you will know exactly what it will cost. We strive to provide our patients with the highest quality in dental health care services and appreciate your feedback on how we’re doing! Please tell your friends and family about us. We love hearing about referrals or seeing reviews on our Facebook, Google+, and Yelp pages. Putting patients first is our mantra and ensuring they are informed about their dental health care options is part of this. It’s just one of the many ways Smiles Dental is Changing Oral Health Care for the better!
